Job Description - CNA/Care Partner 6 am - 2 pm

At Schonberg Care, we are committed to maintaining a workplace built on safety, professionalism, and respect. We are a locally owned senior living organization, and we recognize that excellent resident care starts with clear expectations, reliable systems, and well-supported staff.

We’re looking for dependable CNAs who want to be part of a team that is raising the bar for how caregivers are treated and supported.

What We’re Working Toward

We are intentional about improving how we operate and how we support our teams. Our goal is to create a work environment that offers:

  • A safety-first approach for staff and residents

  • Clear policies and consistent expectations

  • Predictable scheduling and accountability on all sides

  • Respectful leadership and open communication

  • A workplace where doing your job well is recognized

  • Opportunities to grow as our organization strengthens

We’re committed to clear communication, consistent standards, and doing what we say we’ll do.

Your Role

As a CNA with Schonberg Care, you’ll provide hands-on care that supports residents’ dignity, comfort, and safety while working within clear standards and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating)

  • Supporting safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility (including Hoyer lift use when applicable)

  • Assisting with medications per facility guidelines

  • Supporting residents with appointments, activities, and daily routines

  • Assisting with meals and hydration

  • Monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition

  • Performing light housekeeping and maintaining resident spaces

  • Responding appropriately in emergency situations

  • Following all health, safety, and infection-control protocols

What We’re Looking For

We value reliability, accountability, and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification or equivalent caregiver experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or in-home care

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform physical job duties safely

  • Availability for various shifts, including nights and weekends

  • Compassionate, calm, and professional approach to care

  • Willingness to follow standards, communicate clearly, and support team goals

Why Consider Schonberg Care

This role is for caregivers who want:

  • Structure instead of chaos

  • Expectations instead of guesswork

  • Leadership that is committed to improvement

  • A workplace where your effort matters

If you want to be part of an organization that is intentionally building a better care environment, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation

  • Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises.

  • Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so

  • Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents

  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.

Qualifications

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day

  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends

  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
