Responsibilities for our CNA - Certified Nursing Assistants include

• Assist participants in the restroom and with showers to maintain good personal care
• Assist the participants with mobility issues in: transferring to a wheel chair, standing from a seated position and walking throughout the program areas, as well as to and from the buses
• Set tables for both breakfast and lunch with proper utensils for dairy and/or meat meals, and provide dining room coverage while participants are eating lunch and assist with serving meals, drinks, and clean up
• Run the department's laundry for aprons, towels, dishcloths. (wash, dry, fold, put away)
• Assist Activity Director with stocking supplies from deliveries as needed
• Set out name tags and wander guards daily for scheduled participants and assist in placing on participants.
• Complete daily restroom log and monthly charting as assigned
• Communicate with Nurse regarding health and/or behavioral changes when noted

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required
• Current active CNA license in the state of Missouri
• Prior experience in a geriatric care setting is required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with cognitively impaired frail adults.
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
• Visual and auditory acuity to perform the position
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook)
• Physical ability to lift 40 pounds, transfer participants (on occasion up to 250 pounds) and assist participants with mobility.

Per our licensure, Adult Day Center employees are required to become registered with the MO Family Care Safety Registry. Active registration must be maintained for continued employment at our center. American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification, TB testing, and Hepatitis A vaccine are required in this role per licensure. The J provides training/re-certification, testing, and vaccine if an employee does not already have one.

Per our licensure, Adult Day employees are required to become registered with the MO Family Care Safety Registry. Active registration must be maintained for continued employment at our center. American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification, TB testing, and Hepatitis A vaccine are required in this role per licensure. The J provides training/re-certification, testing, and vaccine if employee does not already have. Position is subject to a pre-employment background check and physical (includes drug test).
