Job Description:

Essentia Health is seeking a Clinic Care Technician to serve in the pediatrics practices at our South University Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota and The Lights Clinic in West Fargo, North Dakota. This CCT works on a casual, as-needed basis, picking up shifts to support the needs of the facility. Shifts are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required. Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) is preferred. Primary coverage need is Mondays and Fridays, with additional weekday shifts available as needed.

What You'll Do:

The Clinic Care Technician is primarily responsible for providing assistance with daily patient flow in the clinic setting. These duties may include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in patient chart, stocking, and cleaning exam room, ordering and maintaining clinic supplies, assisting with clerical duties, and all other duties as assigned. This position may float to support other areas as assigned. Key responsibilities include:

• Supports and assists providers and clinical staff with administrative and select patient care tasks
• Supports patient scheduling and work queue needs as assigned
• Follows up on no-shows and works with providers to review and approve add-ons
• Greets patients, supports virtual visits, completes identification verification, height, weight and obtains vitals
• Chaperones exams as needed
• Administers questionnaires and documents in electronic medical record
• May perform limited patient care tasks based on training
• Processes incoming mail, scans, copies, and faxes as needed, prints and updates forms, answers internal phone calls, and may place office supply orders

• Customer service

• Ability to follow direction and perform tasks within scope of role

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

• Experience in healthcare, using electronic medical records (EMR), and medical terminology are preferred for this role.
