Description
Sumitomo is looking for a CNC CAM Programmer to join our Grand River, OH team!
Hourly Rate - $25 to $36 per hour based on experience!!
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data, in order to calculate part dimension
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Gibbs CAD/CAM software
- Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to help optimize machining lead times
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments
- Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators
- Recommend tooling applications and operational sequence to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements
- May set-up for and instruct machine operators of lower classification
- Recognize, report, and correct errors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training (2 year degree) preferred
- Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
- 5+ years of CNC Programming Experience
- 3+ years of CAD experience
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
- Willingness to bring new ideas and potential efficiencies to the management team
