What you will be doing: CNC CAM Programmer

• Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate part dimensions.


• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Gibbs CAD/CAM software.


• Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to help optimize machining lead times.


• Use a variety of precision measuring instruments.


• Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators.


• Recommend tooling applications and operational sequences to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements.


• May set up for and instruct machine operators of lower classification.


• Recognize, report, and correct errors.


• Perform other duties as needed.

Experience you will need: CNC CAM Programmer

• High school diploma or its equivalent.


• Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training (2-year degree).


• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, and operations.


• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.


• 5+ years of CNC programming experience.


• 3+ years of CAD experience.


• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.


• Willingness to bring new ideas and potential efficiencies to the management team.
