CNC Laser Operator

This position is primarily responsible for operating the CNC cutting equipment including two fiber laser machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate de-coiling machine to blank out flat metal to length.


• Load and unload laser table and material towers with overhead crane and vacuum lifter or forklift.


• Program and operate 4000 Watt and 8000 Watt fiber lasers.


• Sort cut pieces to feed downstream manufacturing processes.


• Maintain clear access to designated areas or walkways.


• Package finished parts for shipment.


• Provide quality control to verify parts coming off laser.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with CNC cutting equipment operation.


• Experience operating a 2D cutting laser.


• Familiarity with the use of hand tools


• Ability to communicate with shop team members.


• Ability and commitment to follow all applicable safety requirements.


• Must be able to lift 35 lb on a daily basis.


• Must be able to spend 90% of the work day standing or walking.

Work Hours

• This position’s normal work hours are approximately 5:00 am to 1:30 pm Monday through Friday, working approximately 40 hours per week.

Job Location

• This job is located at our fabrication facility at 10515 SW Allen Blvd, Beaverton, OR

Compensation

• Salary DOE, health/dental/life insurance according to Local 16 Sheet Metal Workers’ contract.


• $22-$33 per hour to start (DOE), potential after 5 year apprenticeship over $55/hour.
