Description

JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:

Operate production machines. Check manufactured product for print compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate CNC machines, check inserts, make offsets, debur parts, inspect parts.
  • Manufacture driveline components to print specifications. 
  • Perform applicable Quality assurance checks. 
  • Document quality and production metrics.
  • Perform machine preventive maintenance. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area. 
  • Identify applicable sections of production schedules and prepare for daily tasks. 
  • Light machine corrective maintenance. 
  • Material handling
  • Process improvements and fixturing.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Understand CNC program both Mazatrol and “G” code. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. 
  • Knowledge of basic gauging (micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, height stands).
  • Cursory knowledge of SPC and ISO requirements. 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Do repetitive work.
  • Keep area clean and safe.

Requirements

 JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (K.S.A’s) 

  • Understand CNC program both Mazatrol and “G” code. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. 
  • Knowledge of basic gauging (micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, height stands).
  • Cursory knowledge of SPC and ISO requirements. 

Education/Experience

  • Minimum Five-year experience with CNC Lathes and Mills (both horizontal & vertical preferred) 
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to document quality and production metrics.  

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Experience handling and loading parts > 500 pounds, utilizing an overhead crane/hoist 
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, doing repetitive work, Keeping area clean, and safe.
