CNC Machine Operator Second Shift

Hiring an experienced CNC Operator for our second shift 2:30pm to 11:30pm

In this position you will run jobs on Lathes (4-Axis and 5-6 Axis with sub-spindle) and / or Mill 3-Axis. 

You will be working with aluminum, plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts.

Job Duties include, but not limited to:

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
• Observe all safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.

Required experience & qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes or CNC Mills, Okuma and HAAS preferred.
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.

Physical Demands
Ability to select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing between 30 and 50 pounds. The ability to stand up to a total of 8 hours, with breaks while occasionally bending, stooping, and twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.  There is an anti-fatigue mat at the machines, as well as a stool if needed.

Drug Free Workplace:
We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen; employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen.
 

Hours, compensation and benefits:

Monday through Friday 2:30pm to 11:30pm with two paid 15-minute breaks and a full un-paid lunch hour, with some flexibility to work overtime when needed based on workload.

Hourly rate is netotiable based on experience and skillset $25-27 per hour. 

The company provides uniforms, tools and reimbursement for safety shoes.
