Experienced Machinist Needed for Large Weldments & Open Table Setups

Weldall Manufacturing is seeking experienced CNC Machinists on all shifts, that have a strong background in setting up and machining large weldments on open table machining centers. This role requires expertise in tooling selection, workholding, and precision machining. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in independent setups and problem-solving, working with large parts in a low-volume, job-shop environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Set up and machine  large weldments on CNC machining centers.
• Work with probes and universal & right-angle heads to ensure precision.
• Use indicators, edge finders, and G54 work offsets for accurate setup.
• Select and adjust tooling for efficient stock removal.
• Utilize Heidenhain and Fanuc controls to execute programs and make necessary adjustments.
• Operate 5-axis CNC machines and ensure tight tolerances on large components.
• Troubleshoot issues independently and collaborate with team members to optimize efficiency.
• Maintain a strong  focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

What You Need:

• Minimum 2 years of CNC Machining experience (large parts, job shop environment required).
• Experience with open table setups and large-format machining.
• Familiarity with Heidenhain & Fanuc controls (preferred).
• Ability to work with G54 work offsets and multiple coordinate systems.
• Tool making and problem-solving experience in a precision machining environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Operation of overhead cranes and forklifts to maneuver large parts.
• Strong vision abilities, including depth perception and close/distance vision
