The CNC Machinist is a mid-level position for individuals interested in pursuing a career in machine tool technology and/or aerospace technology. You’ll play a vital role in the world of precision machining tool technology and/or aerospace technology. Key Details

• Work Days and Hours: Our normal working hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday-Friday with an unpaid 30-minute lunch. Employees can work with their supervisor to have some flexibility in their schedule.
• Location: this is a full-time position located in Addison, TX.
• Compensation: $25-$33 per hour based on qualifications and comprehensive benefits package.
• Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you'll do

• Set Up, Teardown, and Operate (CNC) milling machines.  (Lathe is a plus.)
• Precision Machining: Accurately use dial indicators, edge finders, and other metrology tools to meet strict tolerances.
• Programming: Read and modify G-Code; (program with Mastercam is a plus).
• Understanding of Haas. (Fanuc controls is a plus.)
• Quality Assurance: Interpret blueprints; measure and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Collaboration: Work independently with minimal supervision while achieving on-time delivery and maintaining product quality.
• Keep accurate records.
• Maintain equipment.
• Maintain all quality and safety standards.
• Keep work area clean at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will make you successful in this role (skills)?

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• 6+ years in a CNC machine shop environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines diligently.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of small hand tools.
• Ability to handle parts and tools carefully.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to learn the equipment.
• Ability to read and understand the English language.
• Positive interpersonal skills in working with co-workers.
• Reliable and punctual.
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to program with Mastercam is a plus.
• Ability to use a Lathe machine is a plus.
• Understanding of Fanuc controls is a plus.
