CNC Machinist (Lathe or Mill) - Career Growth Potential

1st Shift - Additional OT of 10 - 20 hours per week

Pay Range: $28/hr to $40/hr (Depending on Experience)

We're seeking a CNC Machinist on the Lathe or Mill side for a leading precision components manufacturer that services aerospace, defense, and medical industries. You'll play a vital role in performing daily setups, and operating of CNC machines, on the Lathes or Mills side. They have Okuma, Nakamura, Moriseki lathes, and 5-axis mill machines.

​Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, CNC Setup/Operator, or a related role.
• Proficient in setting up and operating CNC lathes or mills.
  • Setup of tools, fixtures, work holdings, and running first piece
• Experience with CNC lathes machines or 3, 4, 5 axis mill machines.
• Experience with bar stock and alloys such as titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Comfortable working at least 10 hours of OT a week.

Pluses:

• Experience working in a high mix/low volume, aerospace, defense, or precision component manufacturer.
• Experience working with tight tolerance of one-thousandth of an inch (0.001)
• CAM Programming with Mastercam, knowledge of G and M code.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate the CNC lathes or mill machines.
• Occasionally troubleshoot the CAM software.
• They use titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum as their raw materials.
• Tolerances are extremely tight, at one-thousandths of an inch.
• Working independently after ramp up or training period.
