CNC Machinist Multi-Axis / Aerospace Precision

Overview:
We’re seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join a high-performance aerospace manufacturing team. This role requires confident, independent machinists capable of running complex jobs from setup to final inspection. You’ll work with advanced multi-axis CNC machines and high-performance materials like Inconel to manufacture critical aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform full machine setups independently using engineering drawings and minimal instruction.

• Load tools, build setups, and select tooling for various machining operations.

• Operate multi-axis CNC machines (4-axis and above), including Mazak, Hermle, and other OEM brands.

• Run parts from start to finish, including self-inspection using precision measurement tools.

• Convert CAM programs and make minor G-code edits directly on the shop floor.

• Machine high-precision aerospace parts using super alloys (e.g., Inconel).

• Collaborate with a supportive team (10–15 on night shift, 70–80 on day shift); engineers and supervisors are available to guide application-specific techniques.

• Maintain quality according to tight tolerances (±0.005” or better).

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a setup machinist preferred; candidates with strong skills and attitude will also be considered.

• Strong experience in multi-axis machining (4-axis and above ideal).

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply basic GD&T.

• Experience with super alloys (not aluminum) and tight tolerance machining.

• Familiarity with Mazak, Hermle, or similar CNC machines.

• Mastercam experience preferred.

• Experience with CMM, EDM, or VTL is a plus but not required.

• No crane or forklift required.

• GD&T expertise highly valued.
