CNC Machinist - Precision Machining - Base Salary to 100k/year - Mansfield, MA

• Our client is a growing precision manufacturing company providing machining, fabrication, finishing, and assembly services. Continued investment in equipment and manufacturing capabilities has created an opportunity to add a CNC Machinist to the team.
• The CNC Machinist will independently set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision, tight-tolerance components. This role includes interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T, selecting tooling and workholding, making machine and program adjustments, performing inspections, and troubleshooting machining and quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
• Select and set up tooling, fixtures, and workholding
• Establish and adjust tool offsets, work offsets, and machine settings
• Prove out, edit, and modify existing CNC programs
• Perform in-process and first-piece inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools
• Machine precision components to tight tolerances and drawing specifications
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and quality issues
• Make tooling, offset, and machine adjustments necessary to maintain part specifications
• Apply machining fundamentals related to tooling, workholding, speeds, feeds, and cutting processes
• Independently complete CNC setup and machining operations with limited supervision

Qualifications:

• CNC machining experience at the Operator, Setup, or Programmer level
• Ability to independently operate CNC mills and/or lathes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience with precision measurement tools, including micrometers and calipers
• Ability to perform in-process and first-piece inspections
• Experience making tooling, offset, and machine adjustments
• Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues
• Ability to prove out and modify existing CNC programs
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, and workholding

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 80k - 100k/year range
