CNC Machinist, programmer (2nd Shift)

People Architects is excited to partner with a precision machining services firm based in Solon, Ohio. We are seeking a highly experienced Large Part Programmer/Machinist for second shift.

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists with experience in Fanuc control and a solid understanding of modern CNC turning centers, including steady rest, tail stock, and G-code. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup and operation of 2 to 5-axis turning machines and 3 to 5-axis machining centers. Knowledge of tooling and basic program troubleshooting is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC turning machines and machining centers.


• Ensure the proper configuration of tooling and machine parameters.


• Perform basic troubleshooting of programs and machining processes.


• Work on producing large, high-value, low-volume precision machined components (1 to 10 pieces).

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machine setup and operation.


• Own tools required.


• Proficient in G-code, with CAD/CAM knowledge being a plus.


• Proven ability to read blueprints and interpret drawing features.


• Solid understanding of tool offsets.


• Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.


• Strong problem-solving and math skills.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of CNC Setup/ Machining experience.
