CNC Mill Setup Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Mill Setup Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components while ensuring quality and efficiency. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and setup instructions. The operator will play a key role in maintaining high manufacturing standards and contributing to the production of high-performance tooling solutions.

Responsibilities:

· Set up and operate CNC milling machines according to job specifications and blueprints.

· Load and align workpieces properly to ensure accurate machining.

· Adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds to optimize cutting conditions.

· Inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

· Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency.

· Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.

· Maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling records, and production logs.

· Work closely with engineers and programmers to improve machining processes.

· Follow company safety procedures and guidelines at all times.

· Ensure all finished components meet our high-quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a CNC Mill Setup Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong technical knowledge of CNC milling machines and machining principles.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications.

· Proficiency in using measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.

· Hands-on experience with machine setup, tool offsets, and workpiece alignment.

· Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
