CNC Operator

Our growing machining department is looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our team to serve our customers. Great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow into a set-up position and find the opportunity to learn programming. Job shop environment

Ideal candidates have prior experience operating CNC Mills, in a job shop environment. Should enjoy variety, have a desire to grow sets-up skills, and a strong critical thinking skill set. Willing to train motivated candidates!

Position Responsible for:

• Completing production operations for new or repeat jobs, and assist with set-ups until independent. 
• Maintain quality and increase efficiencies for jobs or those with very close/intricate print tolerances, high end/aesthetic finishes
• Assist with design/development of new programs from scratch, in both 2D and 3D applications proving out new parts
• Actively assist in leading part/process improvements for profitability: improved cycle times, tooling life, quality, general efficiencies
• Read/interpret part prints and complete all quality processes as required per part
• Assist in secondary part production operations as needed to support workload/customer demand
• Assist in routine daily machine & cell maintenance

Starting pay will be based on prior related work experience - high wage growth potential based on learning/development!

Preferred & Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year experience operating, troubleshooting CNC milling equipment or CNC related technical schooling
• Foundational knowledge of blueprint reading and machining principles, best practices
• Prior experience in changing tooling, some routine troubleshooting skills, working knowledge of G&M Codes
• Ability to lift raw material or finished goods up to 50 pounds, handle regular repetitive movements required in operations or material/part handling
• Able to stand for up to 8-10 hours per day with minimal break periods, and sit or walk as needed
