CNC Programmer

Position Overview:

A precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support machining operations by developing accurate and efficient CNC programs for high-quality component production. This role is critical in ensuring production efficiency, minimizing material waste, and supporting overall manufacturing quality. Candidates should have strong technical expertise in CNC programming, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret job orders, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and CAD models to generate CNC programs
  

• Create geometric layouts and machining paths using CAM software
  

• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feed rates, and machining operations for optimal performance
  

• Sequence operations for efficient manufacturing and create reference points for machine setup
  

• Collaborate with machinists and operators to troubleshoot and resolve programming issues
  

• Recommend process improvements to enhance machining quality and reduce cycle times or scrap
  

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and quality standards
  

• Adhere to all safety protocols and report potential hazards promptly
  

• Maintain consistent on-site attendance and availability during scheduled work hours
  

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
  

• Technical training in CNC programming, drafting, or mechanical engineering is preferred
  

• Minimum 2 years of CNC programming experience with broad knowledge of machining and CNC operations
  

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and process control documentation
  

• Experience with Catia, SolidWorks, and NX required
  

• Familiarity with Vericut software is required
  

• Experience with Predator is a plus
  

• Aerospace industry experience is highly desirable
