CNC Programmer

Join our team today! ENTEK Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, proof-testing, and error-proofing CNC programs for a variety of machining operations, while ensuring precision, efficiency, and safety. The CNC Programmer will plan processing sequences, oversee tooling management, and work closely with machinists to optimize performance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to special projects, train shop personnel, and apply advanced programming logic in a collaborative, lean manufacturing environment. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create part programs using machine control, editor, and CAM system.
• Error proof CNC programs, and / or work with machinists to accomplish.
• Possess knowledge and familiarity with all families of parts, materials, and processes.
• Oversee tooling management.
• Required to participate in special projects.
• Ability to lead individual phases of special projects or complete projects.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Follow Lean manufacturing utilizing tools such as Kaizans, 5S, RIE’s and other work area standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The employee will be asked to work in manufacturing plants. The job may require the employee to work near moving mechanical parts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals in the plant environment. The noise level in the production facility is usually moderate, and this employee will frequently be exposed to the production area.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Related training.
• 2 years’ experience.
• Advanced math skills (trigonometry). 
• Understanding of CNC Program logic (advanced macro) knowledge.
• Full understanding and capability to perform work duties at all levels.
• Self-driven, consistently perform high-quality work in a safe manner without supervision.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• AAS degree in Programming, Machining Technology, or other related field.
• Ability to read blueprint specifications or equivalent.
