Analyze production drawings, CAD models, and work orders to develop, test , and optimize CNC programs, ensuring accurate dimensions and efficient production cycles.
Utilize CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Rhino, Alphacam & CAM software) to translate designs into machine-readable code.
Determine, select, and manage appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feed rates for wood components.
Simplify machining time to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Support the shop with technical questions and troubleshooting.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and the Production Manager.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a CNC programmer in architectural millwork and casework.
5 years' experience in AutoCad.
5 years' experience in Rhino
5 years' experience in Alphacam or other CAM software
Experience with Homag CNC machines is a plus.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent oral and written communication
Must be able to work overtime when needed
Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision
