Our client in New Kensington, PA is searching for an experienced CNC Programmer to add to their manufacturing team.
Job Description:
- Develop programs to produce machined parts on computer numerical control (CNC) mills, swiss/multiswiss lathes, routers, abrasive cutoff, bandsaws, tool presetters, assembly stations, and lasers
- Responsible for the production of precision machining and assembly equipment
- Assume responsibility and determine actions needed to ensure machines continue to produce during shifts
- Make tool off-sets, change worn inserts and tooling
- Set up and maintain tooling for milling and lathe machines
- Design, maintain and reinforce safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Learn to reset/fix machine when specific alarm codes are indicated due to tool break or machine malfunction
- Read blueprints and produce parts to required specifications
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in operating and setting up CNC mills, swiss/multiswiss lathes, routers, abrasive cutoff, bandsaws, tool presetters, assembly stations, and lasers
- Solidworks experience
- MasterCAM or equivalent CAD/CAM Package experience
- Experience programming CNC Milling / Swiss CNC Machines
- Experience with multi axis CNC machines
- Familiarity with milling and turning tooling with knowledge of metal cutting parameters
