Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machines, performing first article processes using various measuring tools & equipment, troubleshooting issues, ensuring the production of high-quality parts and maintaining machines. Reports to: Production Manager

Primary Responsibilities/Duties:

·         Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints.

·         Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

·         Perform machine setups, including selecting and installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.

·         Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and part accuracy.

·         Perform first article inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).

·         Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues, program errors, or production inconsistencies.

·         Collaborate with the programming team to improve machining processes and reduce cycle times.

·         Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and ensure equipment is in excellent working condition.

·         Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

·         Proven experience as a CNC Setup Machinist or in a similar role.

·         Proficiency with G-code and M-code programming adjustments.

·         Strong understanding of machining principles and cutting tool applications.

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.

·         Experience using precision measuring tools and performing quality checks.

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
