Job Title: CNC Set-Up Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. This position sets-up and operates the CNC lathes.  
2. Required to set-up, operate and maintain all machine components in order to avoid producing defective parts.
3. Properly and carefully handle all instruments and components.  
4. Routinely inspects assigned work to ensure compliance with established job standards.
5. Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
6. Must be capable of retrieving and adapting programming to execute various job programs on the CNC, in addition to other mechanical set-ups and adjustments.
7. Required to verify all dimensions with plug gauges and mics and ensure proper finish through visual inspection. 
8. Required to set-up drills, turning tools and other perishable or non-perishable tooling.
9. Required to load and unload machines/bar feeders with raw material and execute all prescribed machine procedures for each assigned job.
10. The correct specifications, for each assigned operation, must be maintained. Any void in specification must be identified, and either corrected, evaluated and/or corrected by the employee responsible for the set-up.
11. The correct safety protection and protocol must be utilized for each assigned operation.
12. Required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment.
13. Complies with Eastlake Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Manufacturing Process Aptitude.
2. Good written and verbal communication skills.
3. Ability to work autonomously.
4. Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.
5. Regular attendance.
6. Required to stand for extended periods.
7. Required to move assigned quantities of parts or raw material to the assigned work area or to assigned inventory locations.
8. Ability to use a variety of hand tools, measuring devices (micrometers and calipers, etc.) Use of related manufacturing equipment and operating controls.
9. Required to properly dispose of or recycle any scrap material generated by any assigned production operation, and are required to maintain an appropriate, clean and safe work environment.
10. Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise and vibration.
