Coatings Complex Electrical Technician

Basic Job Functions:

The role of Electrical Technician consists of, but is not limited to, safely performing day to day repairs to support mill operations, preventative and emergency maintenance on all types of mill equipment which includes motors, drives, instruments, controls, cranes and calibration of process instruments and other duties as assigned. Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 2-year degree in electrical maintenance and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of NFPA 70E


2. Knowledge of LOTOTO


3. Knowledge of Arc Flash Hazards


4. PLC experience


5. Steel Mill experience
