Varsity Pins, a vibrant and dynamic entertainment venue located in Clarksville, TN, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Cocktail/Server to join our team. As a Cocktail Server/Server, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our patrons, ensuring a memorable experience and contributing to the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor, creating a positive first impression.
  Provide menu information, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages and food items.


• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing our point-of-sale system.


• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and creativity.


• Mix and garnish cocktails according to established recipes, ensuring consistent quality.


• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.


• Monitor and anticipate guest needs, promptly addressing any requests or concerns.


• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the bar and surrounding areas.


• Adhere to responsible alcohol service policies, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.


• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and maintain an organized cash drawer.


• Upsell additional items and promote ongoing specials to enhance guest experience.


• Engage in suggestive selling to maximize revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.


• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, restocking, and cleaning.


• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on menu items and company policies.


• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and mutual support.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a bartender, cocktail server, or in a similar hospitality role is preferred.


• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and cocktail presentation is a plus.


• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to create a friendly and engaging atmosphere.


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.


• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


• Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order taking and drink preparation.


• Basic math skills for handling transactions, calculating bills, and giving correct change.


• Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and legal regulations.


• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.


• Positive attitude, punctuality, and a strong sense of professionalism.


• Must be 18 years of age or older.


• Must obtain a TABC license within the first 30 days of employment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.


• Lift and carry trays and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.


• Bend, stoop, and reach to perform cleaning and stocking tasks.
