The Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA) has an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment and Retention Specialist with the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center (COJC) in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Do you have strong organizational skills and have attention for detail? The ideal candidate will be able to clearly articulate job requirements, listen to hiring managers to understand their needs, and foster relationships with potential candidates through networking and recruiting events. As a Recruitment and Retention Specialist, you will connect qualified candidates with the right jobs, to build a strong workforce and meet the goals of our agency. Basic Purpose
The Recruitment and Retention Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to attract, screen, and hire qualified candidates to meet the staffing needs of the agency. This position plays a key role in supporting workforce planning efforts by managing the full recruitment cycle, building talent pipelines, and fostering relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the agency attracts top talent.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in human resources management; or a master’s degree in human resources, industrial/organizational psychology, public administration, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field and one year of professional experience in human resources management.
Experience: Professional human resources experience should include at least one of the following areas: job analysis, position classification, compensation and benefits administration, civil rights administration, or recruitment.
Note: Experience that was incidental to the position or not a primary responsibility will not be accepted as qualifying. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
