Collections Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our Risk team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of reporting and handling of financial operations. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to mitigate financial losses to the Company, complete assigned workflows, and support strategic initiatives. You will monitor trends and focus on financial recovery efforts.

 Essential Functions

· Update Reserve Summaries on a daily basis

· Update financial losses for each merchant in the queue on a daily basis

· Reconcile entries coinciding with merchant records and our bank on a daily basis

· Monitor reports to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate action

· Contact customers via email and phone to negotiate payment arrangements

· Compile documents and send overdue balances to Collections Agency as necessary

· Process approximately 400+ cases per month

· Document all case interactions with detailed and relevant notes

· Notify management of trends or concerns

· Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management

Skills Needed

• Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates

• Ability to work quickly and make decisions efficiently

Qualifications

• Familiarity with network regulations and compliance standards related to ACH and credit card processing is preferred

• 1–2 years of experience in the collections or payments processing industry is preferred
