Collections Specialist

The role of a Collections Specialist includes aiding in the collections of NSF checks, Accounts Receivable past 60 days, and Tenant evictions while having basic knowledge of relevant laws. The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent attention to detail, prioritize accuracy, and be open to collaborating with others. Moreover, the Collections Specialist should be adaptable and willing to provide support beyond the core responsibilities of the role in case of necessity.Responsibilities:Partner with the Accounting Team to ensure timely collections and handle escalations of uncollectable rent/debtSkip Trace certain delinquent members by pulling files, calling references, or using other means to locate Tenants using Accurint, Transunion TLO, and Credit ReportsStrong communication skills - Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas to peers and customersStrong negotiation skills
