LHH Recruitment Solutions (fka Accounting Principals) is looking for a temporary to hire Collections Specialist – B2B for a client of ours in the Hudson, OH area. This position supports Accounts Receivable and Collections operations by managing PO collection, pursuing past due accounts, negotiating payment plans, alerting management of collection issues, researching unapplied cash, and addressing customer inquiries. It may involve using customer portals for PO retrieval, billing, invoice handling, and remittance detail.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of roughly 300 customers and conduct consumer (business to business) collection calls
Make collection calls to customers with overdue accounts, document payment arrangements, and reduce outstanding balances to meet targets
Monitor Accounts Receivable email inbox, ensuring timely response to customer inquiries and assigning tasks appropriately
Apply purchase orders and resolve pricing discrepancies with customers and sales
Contact customers to obtain purchase orders when necessary, ensuring proper protocol is followed and assisting with issue resolution
Assist in researching unapplied cash and adhere to company policies and procedures
Keep supervisor informed of significant matters and participate in audit requests
Perform duties efficiently to achieve position objectives and maintain positive relationships with employees and customers
Project a favorable company image and take on additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years of business to business (B2B) collections experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment required.
Comfortable working in a variety of systems including basic Excel skills and ERP system experience (Great Plains or MS Dynamics a plus)
Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical skills to assess and solve problems; excellent judgment and organizational skills; effective communication; high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage high volume and multitask effectively

Schedule: Flexible hours between 7:30 am – 5 pm | fully in office for training and then hybrid after
Pay: $21 – 23/hr. (depending on experience)
