SUMMARY:
Position : College and Career Success Assistant
Description : The College and Career Success Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and execution of district-wide college and career readiness initiatives. This role collaborates with high school counselors, students, parents, alumni, and staff to ensure smooth communication, event organization, data tracking, and engagement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required
Experience in a school setting, college counseling office, or administrative support role preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Alumni Engagement & Support
Maintain communication with alumni and recruit them as mentors, tutors, interns, and teacher assistants to strengthen Frontier’s future workforce
Support alumni student organizations to promote college persistence and completion
Track alumni college enrollment, persistence, and graduation; maintain alumni contact databases
Organize alumni-focused events (e.g., panels, campus visits, Thanksgiving gatherings)
Support initiatives such as the CARE Team to foster alumni engagement
Assist seniors and alumni with applications, scholarships, resumes, internships, and job shadowing
Coordinate the collection and promotion of alumni success stories in collaboration with the communications department
Program & Event Coordination
Support logistics for college and career events including fairs, trips, workshops, and camps
Assist in executing student enrichment programs such as leadership camps and extracurriculars
Coordinate senior programs including Project Graduation and monthly class trips
Collaborate with schools and vendors to ensure smooth implementation of the program
Summer Melt Intervention
Help prevent summer melt through outreach to seniors via texts, calls, home visits, and orientations
Assist students with post-secondary enrollment steps such as registration and housing
Track progress and report issues to the Director; help organize transition events
Student and Family Engagement
Communicate with students and families about college and career opportunities and deadlines
Support outreach efforts such as Parent Academies, volunteer programs, and home visits
Assist with mentorship programs, student clubs, and family engagement initiatives
Administrative and Operational Support
Maintain department calendars, travel logistics, and documentation
Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and expense reports
Submit transcripts and verifications as needed
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on departmental goals and student outcomes
Collect, organize, and analyze relevant data
Communication & Outreach
Communicate program updates to students, families, staff, and external partners
Draft correspondence, newsletters, promotional materials, and manage social media updates
Help cultivate partnerships with colleges, employers, and community organizations
Director Support
Carry out tasks assigned by the Director of College and Career Success
Provide broad support in executing college and career initiatives
Collaborate with counselors, school staff, and partners to advance the department's mission
Perform additional duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Proficiency in planning and coordinating events and activities, including logistics and communication with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to collect, manage, and analyze student and program data for tracking outcomes and informing decisions.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and solve problems with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated reliability and initiative in completing tasks independently and meeting deadlines.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using digital tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, email platforms, and social media for communication and documentation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
Night and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
The position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
Travel is required.
