College Planning Counselor

An established Walnut and Hacienda Heights based AP/SAT Prep / college planning center is seeking experienced and passionate college planning counselors.

Typical Duties:
- Counseling individuals one-on-one and in a small group setting with predesigned college planning lesson plans.
-Conducting application and personal statement workshops.
-Assisting and advising students with college application needs and concerns (which may include: essay review, application assistance, etc.)
- Making necessary teaching plans and homework assignments based on student’s needs. 
- Updating student progress information for parents and students periodically.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum BA/BS degree from a prestigious school with relevant degree.
- Student counseling experience preferred.
- Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills. 
- Experience working with high school age kids are a big plus!!!
- Must be punctual and responsible.
- Must be able to work the entire summer school and/or school year.

Working hours and compensation based on subject and experience.
