Job Description - Collision Parts Specialist

GM Collision Parts Specialist/Counterperson Needed

George Nunnally Chevrolet, Bentonville, AR

Department: Parts

The Opportunity: A Body Shop is only as fast as its parts department. At George Nunnally Chevrolet, we know that a delayed clip or a wrong bumper bracket can stall a repair for days. We are looking for a GM Collision Parts Specialist who acts as the bridge between our Parts Department and our Collision Center. You aren’t just selling parts; you are managing the flow of a high-volume repair facility.

Who You Are: You are organized, aggressive about details, and you speak "Body Shop." You know the difference between an LKQ assembly and an OEM skin, and you understand that "on backorder" isn't an answer, it's a problem to be solved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Blueprint Accuracy: Review estimates and repair blueprints alongside body shop estimators to ensure every necessary clip, retainer, and emblem is ordered the first time.

  • Vendor Management: Handle ordering from GM (RIM/collision programs) as well as managing relationships with aftermarket and salvage vendors when specified by insurance.

  • Mirror Matching: proactively verify parts upon arrival to ensure they match the vehicle before the technician needs them, reducing shop downtime.

  • Returns Management: Tightly manage returns and credits to keep the department’s inventory clean and profitable.

  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for Body Shop technicians and estimators regarding ETA status updates.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a GM Parts Department or a Collision Center parts room is highly preferred.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with electronic parts catalogs (EPC), DMS systems (CDK/Reynolds), and collision estimating software (CCC One, Mitchell) is a major plus.

  • Collision Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle anatomy—knowing which parts are one-time use and must be replaced during a teardown.

  • Sense of Urgency: The ability to work at the pace of a busy body shop.

Why Join the Team?

  • Family-Owned Culture: George Nunnally Chevrolet has served Bentonville for over 30 years. We treat our people right.

  • Resources: You will have the support of a fully stocked, professional Parts Department.

  • Growth: Bentonville is growing, and so is our collision volume. This is a secure role with high potential.

  • Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision, 401(k), Paid Vacation, and Employee Discounts.
