Collision Technician

Magic City Ford Lincoln, Roanoke, VA is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Body Shop as a Body Shop Tech. If you are looking for the possibility of fast tracking to a high income in as little as two years, apply today!

Summary:

Repair the bodies of collision damaged vehicles back to pre-accident condition meeting Magic City and industry standards with safety and profitability in mind.

Duties Include, but not limited to:

· Work with customers to identify what needs to be fixed.

· Prepare damage reports and cost estimates.

· Replace damaged body parts, including bumpers, fenders, hoods, and trim.

· Repair structural damage to vehicle

· Repair or patch dents or other minor body damage

· Welding parts

· Follow safety guidelines.

Requirements:

- General automotive background knowledge.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

· Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.

· Ability to communicate with others.

· Must be able to effectively work with other Body Technicians

· Must be highly motivated and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be able to read, write, and understand estimates and work orders.

· Must be customer service oriented.

For entry level - Pay is an hourly rate based on ability to start out. Will advance to a flat rate as your technical ability grows.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Individuals must be able to kneel, bend, squat, stoop, lift above shoulders, stand for long periods of time, repetitive motions of hands and arms, and be able to lift over 50 pounds at times. The working environment has exposure to high levels of sounds, chemicals, dust, and fumes. Magic City does require following and wearing proper safety equipment. Subject to weather conditions inside and outside of the shop.
