• Job Title: Surgeon – Colon & Rectal Surgery
• Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time

• Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• On-Call Expectations: 1:4 rotation, includes General Surgery cases
• Start Date: Approximately 90–120 days post-offer, pending credentialing

FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
• EMR System: Epic – HIMSS Stage VII
• Specialty Backup: Nurse practitioner support in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Support Staff: System physicians with a collegial culture and mentorship support
• Leadership & Reporting Structure: Hospital-employed physician model
• Reason for Opening: Growth and expansion of service lines
CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE
• Board Requirements: BC/BE in Colon & Rectal Surgery
• DEA & Certifications: CSR, DEA required
• Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Board Status: BC/BE in Colon & Rectal Surgery
• State License Required: Eligibility for Indiana medical license
• Certifications: DEA, CSR
• Experience: Previous experience preferred but not required
• Additional Requirements: EMR proficiency (Epic), team-based care experience
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver inpatient and outpatient surgical care with a focus on colon and rectal procedures
• Participate in call rotation for general surgery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers and advanced practitioners
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
• Participate in system-wide growth and quality initiatives
