Role Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Special Education Teacher to virtually support students across different grade levels within the district. As part of this role, you will engage with students individually, offering tailored instruction and assistance to help them reach their academic milestones.

Drawing upon your specialized knowledge in special education, you will craft and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapt educational materials, and collaborate closely with colleagues and families to ensure the academic success of every student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) personalized to each student's specific requirements.
• Deliver direct instruction and guidance aligned with the goals and objectives outlined in the IEPs.
• Modify curriculum materials and teaching methodologies to accommodate diverse learning preferences and abilities.
• Harness technology and digital resources to facilitate remote learning experiences and enrich student participation.
• Foster collaboration among fellow educators, parents, and stakeholders to nurture the holistic development of students.
• Track student progress, gather relevant data, and refine instructional approaches as necessary to promote continuous advancement and success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Possession of a valid teaching license/certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience working with students with various learning needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
• Profound understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in leveraging technology for remote instruction and collaborative purposes.
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
