Commercial Account Manager & Sales Representative

Are you experienced with General Motors commercial products and passionate about helping small businesses succeed? Oakes Auto Group is looking for a driven Commercial Account Manager & Sales Representative to join our GMC team.

About the Role:

This position is a dual-role focused on building lasting relationships with small businesses in our community. You’ll work closely with companies to manage the maintenance and repair of their current fleets, while also identifying opportunities for fleet replacement or expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for small business accounts and fleet customers


• Coordinate service and maintenance schedules for existing commercial fleets


• Consult with business owners to identify vehicle needs for replacement or growth


• Sell GMC commercial vehicles tailored to the customer’s specific industry and use-case


• Provide expert guidance on upfit solutions and accessories to ensure vehicles are work-ready


• Manage the sales process from prospecting to delivery and follow-up


• Ensure exceptional customer service and long-term client retention


• Collaborate with service and parts departments to ensure efficient fleet support

Requirements:

• Proven GM sales or fleet experience (GM Commercial or Business Elite experience strongly preferred)


• Strong understanding of GMC commercial vehicle lineup, upfit options, and small business needs


• Working knowledge of commercial accessories, body upfits, and equipment installations


• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills


• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
