Commercial and Complex Hearth - Project Manager - Immediate Start

The Commercial and Complex Hearth Project Manager is responsible for reviewing complex hearth and commercial proposals, and job site previews as well as assisting with Installer training.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

· Review complex hearth and commercial proposals prior to sales sending them to customers. Reviewing scope of work, technical challenges, allotted labor hours, venting packages, and product application.

· Ensure that jobsite is ready for fireplace installation, confirming product selection according to builder’s plan and manufacture’s specifications by contacting builder ahead of scheduled installation date and physically previewing the builder’s job site, for complex hearth and commercial projects.

· Ensure job information matches PO supplied by builder for accuracy including Job Superintendent contact information, including address and directions.

· Communicate with production and contractors to promptly solve scheduling conflicts or site preparation difficulties.

· Ensure job is completed with correct product selection for fireplace and facing material according to builder’s plan and manufacturer’s specifications.

· Ensure field members and subcontractors are taking the required pictures of the job and submitting completed pick tickets in a professional, comprehensive manner. Review the pictures to ensure they meet Williams Distributing install standards.

· Assist with developing training program for complex and commercial hearth installations.

· Participate in scheduling meetings with schedulers on commercial and complex hearth projects.

· Need to pass all HHT certifications and keep up to date on all HHT fuel (gas, wood and pellet) categories.

· Decrease dry runs or incorrect jobsite information through expanded previews, calling builders after install date, and order accuracy.

· Complete all required post views for complex hearth product installations and complete builder and retail previews as required. Provide input back to the Builder Sales Representatives.

· Maintain an active presence on jobsites.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Basic knowledge of computers – ability to send and receive e-mail, knowledge of job cost and will also be trained on our P21 business system.

· Extensive knowledge of wood burning and gas fireplace installations.

· Knowledge of the full HHT product line and installation of their products.

· Participate in both on-line and in person training with HHT.
