What You'll Do as a Commercial Construction Project Manager

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, keeping work moving forward safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members to keep projects aligned and communication clear.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, change orders, and financial performance to deliver successful outcomes.
• Review plans, specifications, subcontractor proposals, RFIs, and submittals to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project partners by providing proactive communication and dependable leadership throughout each project.
• Oversee permitting, inspections, and regulatory requirements to keep projects progressing without unnecessary delays.
• Guide Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams by providing direction, resolving challenges, and supporting successful project execution.
• Champion Funk Construction's commitment to quality, teamwork, and building projects that make a lasting impact in the communities we serve.

Our Ideal Commercial Construction Project Manager

• Experienced: At least 3 years of project management experience in commercial or residential construction, with a proven ability to successfully manage construction projects from start to finish.
• Communicator: Build strong, lasting relationships through clear communication with clients, subcontractors, design professionals, and internal team members.
• Organized: Balance multiple priorities while managing budgets, schedules, documentation, and project details with accuracy and efficiency.
• Problem Solver: Take a proactive approach to overcoming challenges, making sound decisions, and keeping projects moving forward.
• Technically Proficient: Be comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with experience in Bluebeam, Procore, CMiC, or similar construction management software considered a plus.
• Team-Oriented: Thrive in a collaborative environment where helping teammates, serving clients well, and building projects that strengthen our communities are just as important as delivering successful results.
