Job Description:
The Project Manager bears the responsibility for ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects within budget, and on schedule, maintaining high-quality construction, and achieving zero defects and zero accidents.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares, monitors, maintains, and updates budgets and construction Critical Path schedules, and assigns appropriate personnel and resources to all project phases.
- Directs field personnel to ensure project completion within schedule, budget, and with quality workmanship aligned with plans and specifications.
- Manages project personnel, subcontractors, and operations to optimize productivity and achieve profit goals.
- Identifies project issues promptly and resolves them proactively.
- Coordinates equipment and material orders and schedules necessary inspections throughout the project duration.
- Maintains accurate tracking and accounting of all on-site materials and equipment, and provides required reports.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and safety policies.
- Nurtures positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and fellow employees.
- Administers all construction documents, submittals, transmittals, punch lists, and other closeout documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent relevant experience in Construction Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
- Comprehensive understanding of building systems, materials, design, construction, and associated management strategies.
- Capability to efficiently expedite complex projects and manage multiple assignments within designated timeframes.
- Experience in high-rise, supermarket, or retail construction is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in scheduling, ordering, quality control, and production across all divisions of commercial construction.
