Commercial Door & Hardware Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager in Chesapeake, VA to lead commercial door, frame, and hardware projects from initial planning through final closeout. This role emphasizes hands-on project coordination, scheduling, and field oversight to ensure installations are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule. With a steady flow of commercial and institutional projects in Chesapeake, this position offers both professional growth and long-term stability. The salary range for this role is $80,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee commercial door, frame, and hardware installation projects in Chesapeake from kickoff to completion
• Schedule and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and hardware schedules for accuracy and compliance
• Track project budgets, timelines, change orders, and related documentation
• Communicate effectively with general contractors, owners, and internal teams to manage project scope and deadlines
• Implement best practices to improve workflow, efficiency, and project outcomes

• 5+ years of experience in commercial door and glass construction or related field
• Knowledge of door, frame, and hardware installation processes preferred
• Strong skills in project coordination, scheduling, and multitasking
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent client-facing communication and professionalism
