Jack Laurie Group is looking for a hardworking and dependable Commercial Flooring Apprentice to join our Fort Wayne team. This position is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of construction, flooring, or trade -related experience who wants to build a long -term career in the flooring industry.

You'll work alongside experienced installers on commercial projects throughout Northeast Indiana, learning the skills needed to install a wide variety of flooring products including LVT, LVP, carpet, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, and more.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the installation of commercial flooring materials including LVT, LVP, carpet, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, and other floor coverings
  
• Prepare job sites and flooring surfaces for installation
  
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
  
• Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices
  
• Assist with floor preparation, layout, cutting, fitting, and finishing
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
  
• Follow company safety policies and job site requirements
  
• Travel to project sites throughout Northeast Indiana as needed
  
• Work closely with experienced installers to develop your trade skills
  

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of construction, flooring, or related trade experience preferred
  
• Willingness to learn and develop a career in commercial flooring
  
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
  
• Strong attention to detail and work quality
  
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
  
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
