Position Summary: The Commercial Flooring Project Manager works to maintain good relationships with existing customers, present solutions, understand provided estimates and project scope, maintain an acceptable profit margin, and manages the project from contract to completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and maintain positive and quality relationships with our existing customers, general contractors, building managers and installers. As a primary representative of the company, professional and effective communication is key.
Completes a hand off at contract approval with the estimator for scope review and project understanding.
Complete awareness of defined scope of work with clear deadlines documented.
Provide accurate specification checks of materials specified vs estimated.
Complete all project submittals including ordering physical samples, compiling product data, review all shop drawings for submittal
Establish and monitor all project costs, materials, coordinate all shipments.
Establish and communicate project schedules with trades and vendors
Establish and deliver status reports to internal and external customers.
Execute all change orders written up on site with a prepared quote in Moraware to the GC.
Approve and close out all vendor invoices, punch items and delivery tickets for project completion.
Proficiency in Moraware, which includes:
Ordering material through PO process
Scheduling all material deliveries, pickups, installations, repairs, and job punch through the Moraware calendar.
Utilizing pick tickets and delivery receipts for all outgoing materials.
Documenting all job issues and communications through the forms in Moraware
Upload all Site reports throughout job duration to Moraware
Maintain accurate job files throughout the job process
Additional duties required as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee and direct/coordinate sub-contracted crews, equipment, products and Trades
Required Skills:
Knowledge of gross profit margins, managing change orders and related services.
Ability to define problems and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Strong computer skills including but not limited to: Hedberg, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and Google Sheets, Moraware
Work Environment:
Combination of office, warehouse, construction and customer sites
