Commercial HVAC Installer (15+ Years Experience)

Seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer with 15 or more years of hands-on experience installing, replacing, and commissioning HVAC systems for businesses.  This is a union role, and we welcome non-union candidates who are interested in becoming unionized.

 Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment and associated piping/ductwork


• Perform equipment changeouts and retrofit projects


• Collaborate with crane picks and rigging operations


• Complete startup and commissioning activities


• Ensure all work meets code requirements and company quality standards


• Leadership over journeymen and apprentices


• Supervise crews and coordinating with Project Managers, Subcontractors, and customers

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Experienced in working on:




• Commercial rooftop units (RTUs)


• Air Handling Units (AHUs)


• Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF and VRV) systems


• Boilers (hot water and steam)


• Chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled)


• Cooling towers


• Hydronic piping systems


• Sheet metal ductwork installation


• Refrigerant piping and controls coordination

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings


• Leadership experience


• Strong troubleshooting and startup experience


• OSHA10


• Valid driver's license


• Experience working in occupied commercial buildings such as healthcare, industrial, and institutional facilities

Physical Requirements

• Frequently Required: Walking. Max carry 75lbs.  Push/pull 40-75lbs. Exposure to hot and cold temperature. Working at heights. Operate motorized equipment.

• Occasionally Required: Standing, bending, or twisting. Kneeling, crouching, stopping, and crawling. Repetitive motion. Working with arms raised over head. Working on or from ladders. Exposure to high sound levels.
