Commercial HVAC Technical Trainer

Description

Hawks & Company is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technical Trainer to develop and deliver high-quality training programs for technicians, engineers, and sales professionals. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, a passion for educating others, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct hands-on and theoretical training sessions for commercial HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance.
• Develop curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments that align with industry standards and best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and regulations to ensure training content remains up to date.
• Utilize interactive and engaging teaching methodologies, including online and in-person sessions.
• Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to technicians and field staff.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify knowledge gaps and create tailored training solutions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and make necessary improvements to enhance learning outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Build relationships with local Vocational High Schools and Technical Schools for recruitment

Requirements

• Extensive experience in commercial HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Certifications such as EPA 608, NATE, or other HVAC industry credentials  (preferred but not required).
• Strong presentation and instructional skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with training software, and virtual learning tools.
• Ability to travel for on-site training sessions as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders and be on site in mechanical rooms for on the job training.
