About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Lender to join their team in Kokomo, Indiana. In this relationship-focused role, you’ll inherit a strong, established portfolio of commercial clients and be responsible for managing, growing, and developing new commercial loan relationships. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated lender who enjoys building long-term client partnerships and making an impact in the local business community.

What You’ll Do

✅ Manage a commercial portfolio of ~100 clients (typical loan size: $500K–$5M)

✅ Inherit and maintain an active book of business from a transitioning lender

✅ Engage regularly with clients—think lunches, check-ins, and proactive service

✅ Source, structure, and underwrite new loan opportunities

✅ Work with credit analysts when available—or underwrite independently when needed

✅ Negotiate terms and present loans for approval aligned with policy and risk guidelines

✅ Review and manage daily commercial overdraft approvals

✅ Cross-sell banking products to deepen relationships and maximize profitability
