Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Pay: $110,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Location: Wheaton, IL. This is an on-site opportunity where you'll work closely with our litigation team, gain valuable courtroom experience, and develop strong professional relationships.

Note: Candidates must have at least 2+ years of civil or commercial litigation experience as a licensed attorney. Active Illinois licensure and admission to practice in federal court are required.

Job Description

• Represent clients in complex commercial and civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and help develop effective litigation strategies.
• Take and defend depositions, interview witnesses, and assist with case preparation.
• Appear in court, argue motions, and participate in hearings and proceedings.
• Assist with trials, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Manage case responsibilities and deadlines while working closely with experienced litigation attorneys.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil or commercial litigation experience as a licensed attorney.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Active Illinois attorney license and admission to practice in federal court.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
• Experience with depositions, court appearances, and commercial disputes preferred.
