We are seeking attorneys with 3+ years of complex business or commercial litigation experience at a busy law firm. Strong experience in substantive legal writing, discovery, and litigation procedures is essential. This opportunity is best suited for attorneys with commercial litigation backgrounds rather than primarily personal injury, housing court, in-house, or solo practice experience.

Job Description

As our Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney, you will play an active role in complex cases from initial strategy through resolution.

• Handle complex business and commercial litigation matters through multiple stages of litigation.
• Draft persuasive motions, pleadings, briefs, interrogatories, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct in-depth legal research, develop case strategies, and manage discovery and document production.
• Attend depositions, court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations, with opportunities to argue motions.
• Participate in trials and other proceedings alongside experienced litigation attorneys.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate case files, meet deadlines, and deliver polished, detail-oriented legal work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of complex business or commercial litigation experience in a law firm.
• Strong legal research, writing, proofreading, and discovery management skills.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts civil procedure, rules of evidence, and Rule 9A motion practice.
• Experience drafting substantive motions, interrogatories, and document requests.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Comfort using legal research platforms, case management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
