Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney (Defense)

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join the Financial Services & Capital Markets group of a top national law firm. This remote opportunity is available to candidates currently practicing in Florida (preference for Southwest Florida residents).

You’ll be supporting a high-performing team on complex commercial litigation matters, offering strategic legal guidance and collaborating with colleagues nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation
• Conduct discovery, depositions, draft pleadings, argue motions, and attend mediations
• Assist in trial prep, including second-chair responsibilities (preferred)
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff across multiple active matters

Required Qualifications

• 3–7 years of commercial litigation defense experience
• Experience in state and federal courts (arbitration and administrative hearing experience is a plus)
• Excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Exposure to construction litigation is preferred
• Judicial clerkship experience, especially in federal court, is a strong plus
• Strong academic credentials and sound legal judgment
• Must currently reside and practice in Florida with an active Florida Bar license

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: $175,000 – $250,000 (commensurate with experience)

Candidate Requirements

• Must have defense-side commercial litigation experience at a national law firm or equivalent
