The Opportunity

HireNow Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a premier national law firm seeking a mid-level associate to join its litigation practice in Washington, D.C. This is an opportunity to contribute to precedent-shaping insurance coverage litigation, working on disputes tied to environmental exposure, product liability, and other complex risks impacting global markets.

What You'll Do

• Draft litigation documents including motions, briefs, pleadings, and strategic memoranda

• Handle all aspects of case development, from discovery and depositions to trial prep and appeals

• Perform nuanced legal research and contribute to innovative arguments

• Conduct detailed analysis of insurance policies and liability risks

• Partner with clients, internal teams, experts, and opposing counsel to manage litigation outcomes

• Prepare coverage opinions and help evaluate disputes involving complex contractual and regulatory issues

Who You Are

This role is designed for litigation associates with a sharp legal mind, strong communication skills, and the drive to navigate high-stakes disputes.

Required:

• 4-6 years of litigation experience (class of 2019/2021 only)

• Solid understanding of complex case management; experience in insurance coverage litigation is a plus

• Outstanding legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• DC Bar license (active and in good standing)

• Law firm experience with an Am Law 100/200 firm or comparable setting

• Consistent work history with strong academic credentials

Preferred:

• Background or interest in environmental or product liability litigation

• Prior clerkship experience, particularly with the U.S. District Court or Appellate Court
