Commercial Litigation Associate(Defense)

Key Responsibilities

• Draft complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and litigation documents
• Manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
• Oversee written discovery and depositions
• Interface with clients, experts, witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Provide detailed insurance coverage opinions and assessments

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of complex litigation experience (insurance coverage experience preferred but not required)
• Interest in insurance law, environmental liability, and emerging litigation risks
• Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Proven case management and client communication experience
• Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience is a plus
• Licensed and in good standing in Washington, DC

Salary & Benefits

• Base salary between $270,000 – $315,000, commensurate with experience

Additional Requirements

• Law school graduation between 2019 and 2021
• Prior experience at an Am Law 100/200 or similarly ranked firm
