Pay: $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

Note: Applicants must be admitted to the New York State Bar and have substantial commercial or business litigation experience. We are particularly interested in attorneys with an established, transferable book of business and experience independently leading litigation matters.

Job Description

• Lead complex commercial and business litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution or trial.
• Handle contract disputes, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, and other commercial claims.
• Develop litigation strategies, conduct depositions, oversee discovery, and manage motion practice.
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with existing clients while expanding your own practice.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff on complex matters.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of our commercial litigation practice.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years of commercial litigation, business litigation, or closely related experience.
• Established client relationships with a transferable book of business.
• Experience independently managing complex litigation matters.
• Strong background in depositions, motion practice, case strategy, and client representation.
• First-chair litigation experience and an established book of $250K+ are highly desirable.
• Strong business development, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Salary bands:

• 5–7 years: $175K–$190K base
• 8–12 years: $190K–$220K base
• 13+ years: $220K–$250K base
• Additional: Performance and origination bonuses based on contribution and portable business.
